Bioactivity, colour adaptability and dual cure properties are the key features. Predicta Bioactive Bulk contains nano-hydroxiapatite, releases calcium and phosphate ions and releases and recharges fluoride. Bioactivity is known in the field to equate to stronger bonds between the restoration and tooth, penetration and filling of micro-gaps, reduction in sensitivity, guard against secondary caries, and the sealing of margins against microleakage. Predicta Bioactive Bulk is available in two translucent shades matching most natural tooth shades. It is a dual-cure resin composite that can be used to fill any size cavity preparation, all the way up to the occlusal surface, without any need for additional layering.

Predicta Bulk is a highly polishable universal composite, that can be used in all areas of the mouth, and is indicated for Class I through V restorations. Predicta Core is indicated for core build-ups and as a post cement. The addition of Zirconia helps provide a strong and stable support for crowns made of zirconia, lithium disilicate, porcelain, PFM and metal.

Materials must always be brought to room temperature prior to use.

The most likely reason a dual-cure composite doesn’t set is failure to double bleed.

Insert the cartridge into the dispensing gun or plunger, remove the shipping cap, then bleed material from both orifices onto a pad until it flows freely. Affix the mixing tip, express a pea-sized amount through it, then proceed immediately to placement.

Regular viscosity is used ideally for large restorations where stability is desirable and material drift is not. Low viscosity is recommended for smaller preps where the ability to flow and adapt into tighter spaces is preferred and for better adaptation of hard to access prep margins and line angles. Phyo et al. (2025), in a study published in BMC Oral Health, assessed Predicta® Bioactive Bulk, a bioactive bulk-fill composite, and Filtek™ Z350 in artificial interproximal enamel carious lesions in extracted primary molars.

The cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of bioactive dental materials
