Bright blue colour hemostatic retraction paste, aluminium chloride 23%

Description

Dryz® Blu is a hemostatic gingival retraction paste designed for fast, clean, and comfortable tissue management. Unlike retraction cords that can damage the epithelium or cause patient discomfort, Dryz Blu offers a gentle alternative for achieving a dry field without trauma.

This hemostatic gingival retraction paste contains 23% aluminum chloride, which acts quickly to stop bleeding and eliminate crevicular fluid seepage. The paste’s bright blue color enhances visibility during placement, ensuring precise subgingival application. Its creamy consistency adapts well, seats easily with compression caps or cotton rolls, and rinses off completely without residue—leaving tissues unharmed.

Atraumatic Retraction and Moisture Control with Dryz Blu Hemostatic Gingival Retraction Paste

Dryz Blu displaces gingival tissue atraumatically when pressed subgingivally. It reflects the sulcus away from margins and inhibits crevicular fluid that might otherwise interfere with scanning or bonding. As a result, it is ideal for creating dry, open margins for Class II and V restorations, crown cementations, and even rubber dam placement.

Optimized for Digital and Conventional Workflows using Dryz Blu Hemostatic Gingival Retraction Paste

When taking digital impressions, a clean field is everything. Dryz Blu helps capture clear, uninterrupted scans by minimizing moisture and retracting tissue precisely. The material sets in just 2 minutes and is compatible with all major retraction techniques—including cords, caps, lasers, and electrosurgery.

Available in syringes and unit-dose capsules, Dryz Blu integrates easily into your routine. It offers reliable soft-tissue management without sacrificing patient comfort or procedural speed.

Whether you’re managing subgingival decay, bleeding margins, or prepping for cementation, Dryz Blu lets you control the sulcus with confidence—and without trauma.

“Dryz Blu is the retraction paste of choice in my dental clinic. After trying every retraction paste in the market, I can definitely say it’s simply the best. Its creamy consistency makes it easy to dispense and, above all, considerably easier to wash away than all other available retraction pastes.”– Milad George DDS, MDS, Sweden

“Dryz Blu always works! It is my last resort when there is bleeding and I can say that it ‘saved my life’ many times. I use it for digital impression taking and whenever I need a dry working field for class II and class V composite fillings, for example when there is a subgingival margin of the preparation and when bleeding and crevicular fluid can compromise adhesion. I only use Dryz Blu, without any cord because it is less invasive than cord for digital impression. I like its creamy but ‘firm’ consistency. It’s easy to apply, it stays in place and retracts the gingiva well. I find that it stops bleeding effectively and above all rinses off easily, more easily than other pastes I have been using.”– Jure Poglajen, DDS, Slovenia

“I always know I can trust Parkell to create products that, to put it simply, just plain work. That said, I’m still amazed at your product Dryz. We’ve used it for a few years and I’m always impressed at how it stops bleeding almost instantly. I usually use laser retraction but when there is bleeding, I will often use your paste first. When washed off, I rarely have to pick up the laser. The stuff is just plain amazing. I can’t count the number of times it has saved an appointment and made both my and the patient’s lives easier.”– Steven H. Schwartz, DMD, United States

“I really like Dryz Blu. Its qualities are good visibility, ideal viscosity neither too fluid nor too thick compared to other available retraction pastes. Its ideal wettability allows me to apply the material at the level of the gingival sulcus, all around the neck of the tooth, without any rupture. In addition, it is easy to remove with water without rinsing too long and leaves no residues – no need to use the water/air gun to its maximum which risks to cause new bleeding. it is rapidly effective in its hemostatic action and for its capacity in gingival eviction. It’s a very good product.”– Laurence Berenholc-Bury, DDS, France

“I’ve been using Dryz Blu for five years now. What I like most about Dryz Blu is that it washes away very easily, and every time gives me a wonderful and clean environment for taking a digital impression or making a restoration.”  Sjobbe Besseling, DDS, Netherlands

“I do love the product very much. It is very easy to use and you can apply it easily with the syringe provided. The blue colour helps to place the product in the proper place and once you remove it with water all its colour washes away very fast and no blood comes from the area.” Elias Casals, DDS, Spain

“Dryz Blu is a highly visible blue gingival retraction astringent paste. I use it for impression taking for prosthetic elements and inlays and before fitting the rubber dam, for example when I have gingival carious lesions and I want to avoid bleeding in the sulcus. I like Dryz Blu’s creamy but ‘firm’ consistency, I like that it applies easily and stays where I place it. It retracts the gum well and stops bleeding effectively. Another important aspect is that it rinses off easily and its characteristic blue colour allows me to check that all material is rinsed off correctly, which is important for both optical and analogue impressions.” Simona Giani, DDS, Italy
